Liberia Airport - groundsLiberia International Airport is still a fairly small airport, although plans are in development for expansion.You would be hard pressed to get lost here so no need for a map. The airport consists of a two storey building with outdoor shaded seating area. On the ground floor you will find the airline desks for check in and a Money Exchange. Upstairs are the bathrooms and a small cafe, as well as the Airport Administration Office and a couple of airline offices. Taxis wait out front for passengers. The distance from the main Highway 21 to the airport complex is about 1 km and can be walked in 10 minutes if you are up for it. Just try to stay in the grassy median. There is a public bus stop right at the intersection of the highway and airport entrance to take you either to the city of Liberia (left) or to the beaches such as Tamarindo and Papagayo (right) |
Public Buses between Liberia Airport and Liberia town center
A bus for the airport leaves from the northside of the main church at 5.30, 7.30, 8.30 and 9.30 AM and then at 1.30, 2.30, 3.30 and 5.30 PM.
The same bus returns from the airport to town at 6, 8, 9 and 10 AM and then at 2, 3, 4 and 6 PM
